Saturday - Plenary Day

As one of the speakers, I didn't shoot many panos... but here are a couple of shots of Microsoft's converted Meade LX200 telescope. By sheer coincidence, I'd looked at the same model a few years ago as the basis for a computer-controlled panohead, but as I do a lot of spherical shots decided that the base was too wide. And it's HEAVY.

Scott Highton showed various bit's of equipment at the end of the hostile environments talk, including a small tripod machined to have 3/8th Whitworth threaded legs, allowing you to attach superclamps and all sorts. Plus the 'deniable' camera support in the form of a converted walking stick thing.
